Studying for my Master of Arts in Applied Community Development at Future Generations University has been an enriching and life changing experience. I really like how the program combines theory with practical learning through community labs, allowing me to apply what I learn directly within my own rural community in Uganda. The global network of classmates and faculty has broadened my perspective and inspired me to think innovatively about local development solutions. I also appreciate the flexibility of the online model, which has allowed me to study while working and engaging with my community. The support from faculty and classmates is genuine and encouraging, making online learning feel personal and connected. If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be increasing opportunities for in-person regional workshops or networking sessions to further strengthen collaboration.
