History
Founded in 2009, Hochschule Emden/Leer (Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the large town of Emden, Lower Saxony.
Education
In teaching they attach particular importance to an intensive and individual support of their students. Qualify them to successfully complete their studies and take on responsible jobs in companies or organizations. At the same time, the education at the university should contribute significantly to the personal development of the students.
Career
A practical training with integrated practical phases is a matter of course for the institute. This includes insights into occupational fields and good contacts with employers.

The decisions are made by the Steering Group , to which the majority of students of all faculties as well as the vice-president for studies and teaching as well as the university didactics belong.
Housing services
If you study at our University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, you can apply for accommodation at the local residence hall before your arrive in Emden. There is one fully-furnished student dormitory, called “Steinweg 20”. Residence halls in Emden are not managed by the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, but by an independent organization, the Studentenwerk. Therefore the International Office is not in a position to guarantee an accommodation in such dorms.
