I like how much effort the professors put into the education, the campus is easy to navigate, and there are so many opportunities to get involved on campus. It is also in a really nice area of the city so there is many things around as well.

Amazing education from the comfort of my home.
At the Faculty of Social Work, I get to complete my two-year post-graduate Bachelor of Social Work online. This has been life-changing for me, as it allows me to balance my job and other life responsibilities. With reasonable tuition fees, and the ability to do everything from the comfort of my home, I could not ask for a better way to complete my BSW journey!

If you want a full semester don't take UofC
The Arts programs are generally underfunded in this university. In my first year I had full semesters but in the next two years the competition to get into the courses needed to complete this degree got worse. In general there isn't a lot of options per semester for available courses. You usually end up waiting for the course you want to take to complete its rotation and then if you're late by an hour to enroll you will be stuck in the waitlist. If you want to get your bachelors completed under 4 years this is not the place for you.
About professors. Half of them use AI, some boast about how you have to get with the times. This may be a popular theme in other universities, however, the quality of feedback and course work dramatically diminishes once your professors use AI.
Academic advisors couldn't care less about you, and will often redirect you to student services for course concerns.
Overall, if I could go back in time and choose where I wanted to do my bachelors in English I would not choose UofC.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2025. Universities with a score above 4.0 (out of 5) in any of the 7 award categories, receive Badges of Excellence. Congratulations!
