History

  • Since our inception in 1972, Waikato Management School has always been a trailblazer in tertiary education. We place a strong emphasis on experiential learning, research-led teaching that incorporates best business practice, and close links with industry.

Distance Learning Courses

Student services

  • The Management Student Centre (MSC) is available to help you plan your management degree and make your time at uni more enjoyable. MSC can also answer any questions you may have about enrolment, choosing papers, assignments, joining student clubs, transferring from another faculty, or graduating from university.
  • The university have a dedicated International Student Services Support team who can help students with anything from securing visa's to finding about upcoming events. Student Services also assist students with study and learning support, career development services and health and well being services.

Housing services

Choosing the right accommodation will help you transition smoothly to university life, get stuck into your studies and start building lifelong memories and friendships. There are various options available to students looking for affordable accommodation in both the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty region.

Medical services

  • We have a team of qualified doctors and nurses on our Hamilton campus to look after your healthcare needs. There is a small fee for consultations and the costs of prescriptions needs to be covered by the student. International students are required to have appropriate medical and travel insurance for the duration of their stay in New Zealand.

Student clubs

  • WMSSA is the largest student club at Waikato Management School. It's aimed at supporting and connecting students to the business world by providing guest speaker events and networking opportunities. 
  • The group holds various events such as networking evenings, guest speakers and other support services throughout the year.

  • Triple Crown Accreditation means that we are accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. Only 90 business schools worldwide and only five in Australasia - have met the rigorous auditing standards of all three of these prestigious accreditation bodies.
