History
HELBUS has its roots in the early 2000’s, when it operated as an exchange program known as Academy Access, offering semesters abroad in Malaysia. Over 500 students from 40 universities in Europe took part in this program.
Education
The HELBUS program is taught completely in English. Our visiting professors come from prestigious universities in nine countries and will challenge you to think globally. Students take an active part in the lessons thus developing their communication and presentation skills that employers highly value. Over 80 % of HELBUS professors hold a doctorate.
Research
At HELBUS, we strive to develop well-rounded business professionals that are capable of meeting the challenges facing modern business. Our curriculum has been designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills in order to succeed in international business with clear progression and development right from level four (equivalent to the first year of the Bachelor’s), right the way through to level seven and the MBA.
Career
HELBUS prepares students for the transition to their future careers through a curriculum that provides a strong practical skills base in addition to developing the requisite theoretical knowledge and understanding necessary to achieve success in global business. Having studied the Bachelor’s degree in English, students graduate well-equipped to use English in the real-world business environment and have a strong grasp of business terminology. Our students have a good track record of employability, with many achieving a flying start in their careers already after the second year of studies.

Campus life
It is a major decision to become a student, and entering student life should be a memorable time during which you will meet new people from all over the world and engage in new activities; ranging from just hanging out, to sharing your interests or finding new ones, pursuing research, travelling or building your capabilities by doing voluntary work. The time you share among your fellow students will be one to cherish for the rest of your life, and we encourage you to make the most of it.
Student clubs
HELBUS students organize various activities and events in Helsinki through our thriving student association, HELBUS Core.
HELBUS received accreditation from the largest accrediting organisation in the UK, Pearson Edexcel in August 2013, after less than a year of operations. Enrolment for its second year grew threefold.
