History
The DISC is an outgrowth of the former "Center for Distance Learning and University Further Education", which was established at the University of Kaiserslautern in 1992. Today, after years of steady development, the DISC offers students a wide range of varied and attractive services.
Education
The DISC offers a wide range of master's programmes and certificates from three main fields. These three main field are: Human resources, Management & Law and Science & Engineering.

Campus life
The DISC is located on the Campus of the technical University of Kaiserslautern. Therefore, the students have access to different cafes and also canteen. In direct neighborhood to the campus are also supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy and hairdressers. The city centre of Kaiserslautern can be reached in 10 minutes by car or bus and the train station is only five minutes away.
Sports facilities
A fitness studio and several sports fields are directly on the campus. Moreover, there are many small sport stations distributed across the campus for short sport sessions, especially between two learning events.
