History
Rosemont College was founded in 1921 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. From the institution’s early days through the present, the SHCJ foundress, Cornelia Connelly has been a driving force behind Rosemont’s charge to educate students “to meet the wants of the age,” which has been an integral part of the growth of the College.
Education
Rosemont College seeks to develop in all members of the community open and critical minds, the ability to make reasoned moral decisions, and a sense of responsibility to serve others in our global society. We are a faith-based institution focused on a liberal arts education.
Research
Undergraduate students have the opportunity to do research with their professors, and graduate students can partake in graduate assistantships. For more information, please connect with a faculty member within your discipline.
Medical services
Services are offered through the College’s partnership with Main Line Health. Along with providing routine, preventative, first aid and urgent care throughout the year, our wellness team works to provide comprehensive educational services. We also work alongside Rosemont Counseling Center to give students the opportunity to improve mental and social well-being.
Campus life
Lined with trees and historic buildings, the area surrounding Rosemont College is both scenic and safe. This tranquil setting fosters the close community on campus, offering all students a home away from home. On campus, Rosemont students have access to a community center, fitness center, sports fields, and more. With all campus buildings in one central location, meeting faculty or friends could not be any easier. Rosemont College’s campus is designed to be a physical representation of The POWER of Small.
