History
The University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt was founded in 1994. The future-oriented management is dedicated to their mission statement which sets the highest standards of research and instruction as their fundamental goals. The university campus was completed in 1999. An attractive building with modern facilities offers a comfortable environment which encourages success.
Education
Students in every program of study may integrate one or more semesters at our partner universities in the USA, Europe, Asia and Africa. Such a semester abroad helps these students be prepared to meet the challenges of the global environment which will face them after graduation. Furthermore, the University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt offers several combined programs of study which incorporate an academic degree with a vocational training program. In addition to working toward their university degree, students complete their apprentice examinations in their field after four or six semesters.
Research
With some 100 science-based employees, the centre conducts applied research projects that are both state-sponsored and industry-financed; with the active involvement of SMEs, suppliers and manufacturers, the centre sees itself as an important innovative driver for the region.
The ZAF builds on the intellectual tradition of ist science-based Ingolstadt location, which has been a prominent place of scholarship and research since the first university in Bavaria was founded there in 1472. In keeping with the Humboldt-based educational ideal which unites research and teaching, we aim to educate qualified young researchers to be capable of taking on independent research at the first possible opportunity.Career
Several scholarship programs supported by companies such as Siemens and Temic provide gifted students with financial assistance during their studies. These students deepen their practical experience by working at these organizations. Normally such scholarship programs continue until students complete their Bachelor degree.
