History
Ranked among the TOP 800 universities in the world and following in the tradition of its 92-year-old progenitor University of Lithuania, Vytautas Magnus University is the only higher education institution in the country and one of the few in the region where a wide liberal arts education is imparted.

University Structure: 13 academic divisions: 10 faculties, VMU Kaunas Botanical Garden, Institute of Foreign Languages and Innovative Studies Institute 6 university centres 11 offices and six other divisions Students’ Representative Council 3 representative offices in Vilnius (Lithuania), Kharkov (Ukraine) and Washington D.C. (USA).
Research
Scientific research at the faculty of Economics and Mangement is carried out by integrating studies and science, combining the workforces of several subdivisions and relying on project work.
The Major research areas of Faculty of Economics and Management are developed according to the interest of academic staff, such as:
International marketing, international communication, marketing strategy, green marketing, organizational climate, analysis of logistics processes, consumer behavior, value analysis, customer loyalty programs, corporate social responsibility, analysis of insurance markets, marketing communication, the transformation of Economics, the transformation of Finance.

Campus life
Kaunas may be dubbed the most academic city of Lithuania. Foreigners and Lithuanians, guests and tourists are attracted to the city by its world famous festivals of music, dance and visual arts, unconventional projects, museum collections, art galleries and impressive architecture of varying styles and eras. VMU art spaces are cultural hot spots of the city, where various cultural, educational and social activities are carried out: public lectures, discussions, film screenings, music events, exhibitions.
