Kent State University at Stark’s presence in the Canton community dates to the founding of the University in 1910, when President McGillvrey saw the value of extension offerings and began them in Canton.
The Kent State Stark Library provides resources and services that help meet the instructional and research needs of students, faculty and staff of both Kent State University at Stark and Stark State College.

Students at Kent State Stark can build healthy lifestyles by taking advantage of all the services available through the Recreation & Wellness Center. Here you’ll find a half-court volleyball and basketball court, dance/aerobics studio, Nautilus weight machine circuit, free weights, treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical cross-trainers and stationary bikes.
